Writing a Family Portrait

Has your family had experiences that are precious to you?  Did you ever wish that you knew how to get loved ones to share their memories or to capture your own?   Are there stories about mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles… that will be lost unless someone writes them down?  If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, join this class that will empower you with a variety of writing techniques to reveal the stories that make up your family portrait.  Bring your favorite writing materials or digital device.  No previous writing experience is necessary.

Your Life is a Treasure Chest

This workshop combines writing techniques with practical suggestions to gather the gems of your life experience into one place.  You will learn the best way to uncover your stories and help you decide what you wish to share with family and friends.  The discovery process is fun and you do not need any writing experience to begin.  Materials will be provided.

Writing Your Way to a Satisfying Retirement

Whether retirement is "just around the corner" or you've been retired for years, being in touch with what really matters to you will help these years fulfill your hopes and dreams.  This two-part workshop uses writing techniques to reveal what you need to transition from working for someone else to living for yourself.  No previous writing experience is needed.  All materials will be provided.
